MEMORIES...
The moment had finally come. The countdown had ended. The next day he would have to leave the place he called home for the last 4 years."4 years",he thought.."4 glorious years". He sat on his bed, contemplating. The effect of intoxication didn't exist that day. Maybe it drained down with his tears. "Boys dont cry", he said with a small grin across his face. Bet no-one followed that norm today. Finally he cared to smile. His packing was almost done. Finishing the remaining, he lit the last fag and sat in front of his desk. The lights were off. He exaled the smoke only to see the streamline turn to turbulent flow. Fluid Mechanics. His professors had taught him well..Ha! He closed his eyes, travelling time to go back to his first day..
....the school days were over. Undecided and carefree as he ever was, he never decided where he wanted to go. As if he cared. He had given certain competitive exams, but never knew he would actually land up. But one fine morning, he heard what he longed for...life in a hostel!! The wish had finally come true..He always wanted this. A carefree life where the word restrictions would be minimized to a great deal. But he couldn't deny that he would miss home. He left his home to reach the place where life would begin for him..a fresh one!! Entering the hostel, he moved across the corridor studying the faces as they passed by. The search had already begun. He reached his room to find his roommate arranging his stuff. He introduced himself and started having a small conversation.Totally unlike me, he thought...
..The remainder of the day went by introducing with fellow batchmates. Some turned out to be friends of friends and some from common tuitions. The following days went by quickly attending lectures. Time simply flew. He started enjoying the "fresh life". By this time he had company and was enjoying with his friends. But life would never be a bed of roses. The dreaded ragging had also begun. SENIORS, a synonym for torture..He didnt know how he would be treated. The thought alone made him feel his hand was on fire."Ouch"..he screamed, waking up to realise the bud was still in his hand, burning it.
His time travel was cut short. He sat up straight, thinking what to do. He was again alone in his room. He didnt want to spend the night alone, not this night. "Time travelling can be done later, not today". He went outside, banging every door to disturb all time travellers that night. No-one was asleep actually. All were awake, reflecting on the memories never to be forgotten. Noone wanted to be alone, but guess they were practising to live life like this in times to come. Practise can begin from tomorrow. He convinced evryone to get out of the miserable lonliness and go for one last tour of the campus. It aint over until its over. None argued. Everyone dressed up and exited the rooms to revisit their campus, one last time together. The tears had dried up and the laughter had begun. The last hurrah was on!!!

GETTING STARTED..
Better late than never. Well, with this statement in mind, I finally decided to dive into the ocean of bloggers. Never much of a writer, I am trying out my hand in this field as well. Typical of a jack of all trade, master of none. But when you finally decide to write, the first thought that comes to mind is- what the hell am I supposed to write about?? There isn't any lack of topics really, ranging from article 377 to world peace. But I suppose when you are writing your first blog, it should be about something you have always wondered about. So, keeping this in mind, I begin my journey...
Now you don't have to be a genius to guess which is the topic most talked about after a peg with your friend.Yup..its mainly about the X's and the so called"better-half". No disrespect to the ladies, but..you top the charts!! But the question here is, what makes one open up his personal life to a friend, he may not be knowing for long? The probable answer that comes to mind is trust. But here comes the scenario of the paradox. Is it the trust that makes you sit together for a drink or is it that you trust him because he is accompanying you...
Now if you ask me, many guys may have had great friends, where the first real interaction has taken place in a pub or restaurant. To me, this is the "male dating" in finding a friend. Dont get me wrong. I guess this has been a way to judge and see how comfortable you are sharing stuff and interacting with him. Some conversations better be talked in a sober state of mind. I guess no one really tells all truth in such a scenario, but its upto you only to decide to what level you want to interact.
Anyways, perception varies from people to people. This is a short and very confusing article I am posting. But i guess if you think, somewhere down the line, you may associate yourself with such a friend like I described. I promise to write something meaningful from the next time onwards..till den..cheers!!
